Lee Westwood Makes an 8 Shot Win at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa
Lee Westwood topped off a fantastic 2010 with an eight shot win at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa.
The world number 1 romped to victory in impressive style - banking 34 crucial world ranking points and ensuring that he would be on top of the tree this festive season.
Westwood beat off a challenge from South African Tim Clark to take home the $1.25m prize money, shooting a four-under-par 68 in the final round to finish 17 under.
"I think that's the first time I chipped in all year," Westwood said. "That's what you call a grandstand finish. It was a good time to do it. I've been coming here for several years and it's a title I've always wanted to win. I've come close a few times, lost in the play-offs, but it's always very special."
We would like to congratulate Lee on what has been a fantastic year for both him and the Peter Cowen Golf Academy.
