Lee Westwood won the Dubai World Championship after firing a bogey-free final round 64 which secured a spectacular 6 shot victory and with it the 2009 Race to Dubai title.

 

Westwood, who led by 2 shots overnight, fired an exemplary final round 64 to win the first prize at the Earth course and become European Number One for the second time in his career. This win also takes him back to World Number Four equalling his career best.
